Sola is considered by many to be a trusted advisor, broad picture strategist and effective communicator. He partners with transformational leaders, teams and creatives to meet business objectives, shape organizational culture and impact global community.

He brings over 20 years of experience working with individuals, corporate and non-profit leaders and creators across industries to live with curiosity and perform with purpose.

Sola most recently served as EVP, Corporate Strategy and Planning for A+E Networks, a global multi-channel media company that includes the History, Lifetime and A&E brands. As a member of the executive committee, Sola partnered with colleagues to evolve and align the organizations culture, communications and content strategy.

He created and served as executive sponsor of A+E’s Multi-Cultural Committee and established partnerships with key national advocacy organizations to further A+E’s strategic objectives. Sola facilitated creative and executive team off-sites and company meetings, and on-boarded senior talent including divisional Presidents and brand leads.

Prior to his work with A+E, Sola was the Founder of ProVision Consulting, Inc., a firm specializing in leadership and organizational transformation for 11 years. Sola worked with CEO’s and leadership teams on organizational culture and design, board preparedness, executive development and team performance. During this period, Sola also created and ran the Institute for Leadership and Change (ILC), a think and do tank designed to train and elevate mid-level managers of color to senior positions within the non-profit sector.

Sola began his career working for the National Football League (NFL) in the areas of media sales, partnership marketing and special events. Sola helped to design and implement marketing programs for NFL sponsors domestically and internationally and managed an international marketing team. He negotiated NFL programming rights and events in Asia, Europe, Canada and Mexico.

Sola is a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), and on the Board of the Opportunity Network, the David Lynch Foundation Leadership Advisory Council and Gauge Advisory board.

Sola was a 2014 NAMIC Luminary Award recipient and was recognized in 2016 and 2017 as one of the 100 Most Influential Minority Leaders in Cable by Cablefax. Savoy Magazine recently included Sola as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America in 2017.

He graduated from the University of Connecticut. He has an MSW from NYU and an MBA from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business. He is certified in numerous leadership assessment tools and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Sola has a son Miles Jayson, age 15, and daughter Zoe Joy, age 8 and proudly continues the Winley family tradition of advocacy and healing for marginalized communities in Harlem, N.Y. and around the world.
